Lebanese cinema pioneer Georges N. Haddad launches his first movie theatre in Beirut, naming it the Cosmograph at its Bourj location (Place des Canons). It was not long before he joined forces with Nicholas Cattan creating the Cattan & Haddad association, a strategic alliance lasting 37 glorious years.
